Challenge Wanaka, Annual Triathlon Series, around third weekend in February. 16th February.

March

Local and national event highlights include:

– Motatapu Endurance Race (7th March).

– Upper Clutha A&P Show (13th and 14th March), one of biggest trade and pastoral/agricultural shows in New Zealand.

– Highlands Motorsports.

April

– Warbirds and Wheels Over Wanaka (every second year), not to be missed by warplane/aviation/car lovers! (10, 11 & 12th April).

Autumn Arts School, mid- late April 2018 (TBA).

Southern Lakes Festival of Colour, 3-7th April. Based in Wanaka this is a five day biennial celebration and array of the arts, music, theatre and conversations performances, an amazing and uplifting cultural experience.

Easter- Wheels Over Wanaka- 19, 20 & 21st April

Mid-August Winter Mini Games 21st-30th August Wanaka, Queenstown, Central Otago, Dunedin, Ranfurly (lead-up series of events for Asia/Pacific Rim Olympic competitors).

Spring skiing- Australian School holidays.

Labour Weekend, Public Holiday, long weekend, 26th-28th October.

Wanaka Art Society Exhibition and Bullock Bar/Canlive "The Speights Perfect Woman" competition (TBC).
